John Garland travels to Honduras to understand why Santos, and so many others, leave their families and homes in search of safety and security in the U.S. He talks to Santos’ family, friends, and neighbors to understand the extreme darkness she was up against, and he witnesses how the local church rises up to confront that darkness. Through John’s eyes, we begin to understand why Jesus called the poor “blessed”.
